New York January 21 2004--Costume design is just a small part of where Lumsden’s talents land. The Oxford graduate has designed everything from shoes with Manolo Blahnik and backdrop scenery for the New York City Ballet to now developing a new line of denim for QVC. At Puccio Gallery, Lumsden will display for sale original sketches of costumes from the New York City Ballet, original works on paper and oil paintings in small dimensions as well as large works on canvas in brilliant colors. Original costume and shoe designs will be on loan from the New York City Ballet for the opening night reception.

Lumsden’s work can be found in the private collections of John Russell Taylor, Art Critic for the London Times, Charlotte, Princess of Luxembourg and Aston Hawkins, former Vice-Council of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Lumsden’s work will be on display at Puccio Gallery from February 19th to 26th.

Puccio Gallery, located at 1202 Second Avenue, on the corner of 63rd Street, is the permanent home to a collection of sculptures and furniture designs by Paul Puccio, who is best known for his creations in marble and onyx. To add diversity to the permanent collection gallery director, Lucia Giudice periodically showcases artists that complement Puccio’s work. Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday 10am to 7pm. Please contact Lucia Giudice at 212-588-9871 or lucia@pucciogalleries.com for more information.
