June 26, 2004 -- Hollywood dealmaker and producer Ray Mann moves into the big time. Just back from the south of France, Malta and Rome were he met with internatonal investors. Mann has been busy the last few weeks on raising capital for a $500 million dollar hedge fund and selecting fund managers. Mann's focus now in media is to fund cable networks, games, and a $500M studio co-investment fund for A-list films, which will produce much better risk/return profile for his investors. Mann also has an associate/partner who he is working very close with on raising funds, the associte just raised a $500M production credit facility involving a major US studio, a tax fund, and a European distributor. And Mann and his associate are looking to do the same for other A-list producers with a good slate and business plan.
